Charity vehicle insurance

Minibuses are both adaptable and versatile, making them an ideal vehicle for large groups and passengers with mobility requirements. This is why thousands of charities or scout groups operate minibuses.

Charity minibus insurance is also available for non-profit making organisations that recoup the vehicle's running costs, by way of direct or indirect charges, once they have obtained a "Section 19" Minibus Permit. Similarly a "Section 22" Permit may be obtained where a specific non-profit making charity bus service is to be operated.

Exclusions:

Our policies do not cover claims in some situations. For the full list please click here to access the policy booklet. However the main exclusions are:

  • The first part of any claim i.e. your excess.
  • Use of the vehicle which is not shown on your certificate.
  • Driving other vehicles.
  • Business use outside of the UK.
  • Loss of value to your vehicle following a claim.
  • Loss of or damage to your vehicle by theft or attempted theft if it has been left unlocked, left with the keys in it or left with a window or roof open.
  • Damage to tyres.
  • Any damage to a third party's property over £5,000,000.
